Meet the SLP/GM

Krissy Baker (she/her) is a licensed speech-language pathologist in the state of IL. She received her Bachelors of Arts in acting from DePaul University and her Masters of Science degree from Rush University Medical Center.  During her twelve year clinical career Krissy has served clients in a variety of settings with multiple diagnoses and severity levels. Krissy has been serving children, preteens, and teens in role play social groups for many years and has developed a successful approach to pragmatic language treatment that has proven effective, even during quarantine. In her treatment groups clients of all ages demonstrated increased success in working with others, using multiple perspectives, generating outside-the-box problem solving, and working with the natural give-and-take of successful communication. She enjoys sharing her performance skills as well as love of storytelling and collaborative adventuring with her own children at home as well and understands that all children learn best through play, trial and error, and self-motivation.
