Our Treatment Philosophy. Our Dreams.

Here at Roll for Pragmatics we subscribe to a neurodiversity-affirming treatment paradigm that is client-led and inclusive. We are leading with success and honoring the individual in ways that create safety for being oneself fully including making a safe space for all players in the areas including; race, sexuality/gender, disability, age, religion, and neurodivergence.

We have big dreams here at Roll for Pragmatics and we have made our Oak Park Red Dragon space a reality! We have relocated to:

421 C Harrison Street

Oak Park, IL 60304

The space is perfect for speech therapy and can be used for group sessions, individual sessions, private reservations, and community building. See you soon!

  • Neurodiversity-Affirming environments recognize that there are a plethora of legitimate ways for brains to experience the world, to internally organize, and to communicate. While there may be more common ways of communicating, all methods are valid.

What to expect from an affirming environment:

    All work is strengths-based

    We presume competence

We value relationships and earned trust as central to success

    We respect body autonomy

Emotional regulation is valued over compliance

  • Roll for Pragmatics underwent a recent online-only soft launch in March of 2022. We have proudly received our P.L.L.C. status and are open near the Arts District of Oak Park for live play!

At this time we are placing a hold on our 501(c)(3) application but in the future hope to develop a branch of RfP that is nonprofit in order to offer up speech services to our local community members and foster connections between children/preteens/and teens in local mixed populations treating areas of language and social connection through language with a focus on social justice and safety.

Roll for Pragmatics intends to partner with/employ local businesses that provide training and oversee true equality and justice initiatives such as but not limited to:

    The Nova Collective

    Brondihouse

    PFLAG Oak Park

In addition we intend to work with Oak Park for community building and connections focused on at-risk and underserved populations.
